An Overview Of Human Design and its Types

Human Design offers us an insight to the nature of what it means to be a human, living each day as ourselves. Life is often complex and confusing unless we come to understand how we function in the world as individuals. That understanding, through the lens of Human Design, uses four Types, with each Type having its own Strategy to safely and confidently guide us in our decision making process.

Knowing your Design Type can give you a deep understanding of why you do or react to some things the way you do and why others do the same. Understanding your Type will, in time, open a path of compassion and true understanding for the nature of what it means for all of us to be living our own unique human experience.

Each Type has an aura that extends in a six foot circumference from our bodies. People meet your aura long before they come face to face with you. The provocative nature of our aura does the talking for us.

GENERATORS

Generators are often referred to as Energy Producers and Life’s Busy Bees. The Generator’s aura is open and receptive and elicits others to ask them (ideally yes and no questions) so they can respond to what comes towards them. They are not here to initiate. When they live in alignment with their life force, they take pleasure in doing work they enjoy and feeling satisfied with what they have accomplished. Generators often think they are Manifestors.

manifestors

Manifestors are the Initiators – the Overseers of Their Domain, much like lions in the animal world. The Manifestor’s aura is here to challenge or initiate others. They possess the power to initiate action without needing to wait for others, but it is helpful for them if they inform others before taking an action. This initiating characteristic makes Manifestors far more independent and self-reliant than other types. Manifestors often see themselves as Generators.

Projectors

Projectors are non-energy types - Administrators of the New Order. Like a fox, their alert and creative nature helps others navigate and discover a safe path forward. The Projector’s aura is penetrating and probing. With their naturally keen insight they often discover unique ways to navigate decisions. Due to their alert and creative nature, once they are invited into a project or a relationship, they become important guides for others.
